On Saturday, April 13th, 2024, the Frank Carlson Library completed the transfer of the following materials to the National Orphan Train Complex in Concordia, Kansas:
- Germans to America: Lists of Passengers Arriving at U.S. Ports vol. 1-67, edited by Glazier, Ira A. and P. William Filby
- Germans to America: Lists of Passengers Arriving at U.S. Ports in the 1840s vol. 1 & 2, edited by Glazier, Ira A.
This collection was labeled as the property of the Orphan Train Heritage Society of America Inc. Research Center in Springdale, Arkansas. A stamp indicating “Property of OTHSA, Inc. on Temporary Loan “8-18-03″ Date” was also present.
The Cloud County Genealogical Society contacted Heather Bigwood, curator of the National Orphan Train Complex, regarding this collection. After review by the National Orphan Train Complex Board of Trustees, it was decided that the items should be transferred from the Frank Carlson Library to the Complex archive.
